The bars at the bottom are showing the strength of the signal from the atomic clock. When you see the watch say “RC” in the corner that means it’s syncing the time. It charges on it’s own when exposed to sunlight, you don’t have to do anything.

what does it mean wen the three bars are lit?the one wit the numbers on the bottom.and one more question…does it charge by itself?do i have to click anything for it to charge?

No I shower with it on all the time and have never had an issue.

will it be foggy inside of the watch wen u take a hot shower?

Just got this one, its my fourth G-shock. Really impressed with their durability.

Very nice. I was thinking about getting a frogman but it’s a bit larger then what I want to wear on my wrist. Sweet watch though.

i just got a atomic time G-shock with the white resin it’s real durable and cool lookin, can’t wait to get the frogman one.

All things considered, after a year of use, this watch still looks and feels brand new, and has been working out very well for me. Don’t regret the purchase at all, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very tough, low maintenance watch. G-Shocks are basically the Glocks of the watch world…they may not be the prettiest things ever, but they do what they’re supposed to do really well and don’t cost an arm and a leg. Good review bro.

This is a great watch for the money. When shopping around for a new watch, I was immediately drawn to the G Shocks, as they seemed to offer a lot of performance for the money, which I love. I also wanted a solar powered model, and was drawn to the more “classic” looking versions. I did like the simultaneous day/date on the newer GWM model, but this one looks better IMO. Being a resident of the US, I couldn’t really justify 30-40 dollars more just so my watch can sync if I ever go to Europe.

I am sure all plastic banded watches will eventually give out, but in my experience, casio bands tend to out last many of the timex digitals I’ve had. Timex watches are tough, no doubt, but their watch bands always got old and broke on me…at least ones from like 5-10 years ago did. I have had the same watch being reviewed here for about a year, wearing it every day, and it still looks brand new. Can’t say the same of my stainless watches.

When you are setting the time and date there is an option to switch it from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds. Its on page e50-e52 of the watch manual. You toggle the setting by pressing the light button, the icon goes from a small asterix to a bigger bold looking one.

how did you change the backlight time?

I just bought this watch on Amazon. It looks like a great piece with nice functions. I hope to get a lot of use out of it.

I just used a black sharpie permanent marker to color it in. Just fill in the letter and wipe off any excess quickly that is outside of the lines. It holds up well, I have never had to recolor it again.
