- Thats your big difference between Stainless Steel and resin. Casio definitely gives a good variety. If you like heavy Stainless Steel is your best bet, if you prefer lighter, definitely better off with the resin models. I have to agree though, I think the analog technology on the inside adds a bit to the weight of the watch. Enjoy.
- That was bugging me at first too, I got used to it. Some press the stopwatch button at the zero to turn it into a second hand.
- Thanks alot Jeff....definitely a unique one. I do believe this is the only screwback that Casio released with Atomic and Solar functions too.
- Just got one myself. Keep a look out for the review.
- hey i have an awg-101 g shock. I was wondering why i don't recieve those calibration signals. Btw, I live in Hawaii. Anyway, when I try to get the signal, at the good times to get it, I have three bars that say the signal is good. But then the watch says error. What's worng?

Hi, I am itending to buy the GS-1100D-1AER model and I would like to know more about the neobrite coating, because these watches do not have backlight. How long is the afterglow of the watch with the neobrite and is it sufficient for the evening without exposing it to the light to see the time? Thanks in advance.

Your explanation of this watch is very good. 5 stars! The watch itself is utter shit though. If you forget the sequence of buttons to press to access each feature (and you will) you’re screwed because it is the most unintuitive piece of tech on planet earth. You can’t simply look at the buttons and guess how to change settings because there’s absolutely no logic to it. I’m putting mine on ebay. If anyone decides to buy this watch I suggest that you carry the instructions with you!

Solid, down to earth review man. I was set on the Tissot T-Touch, but had to re-evaluate my budget and it looks like something along the lines of this will fit in much better, while still keeping a lot of durability and technology. Cheers.

Does anyone know why the new g-shock model gw2000 series much less expensive than the older series giez gs 1100, although the gw2000’s have much more functions than the gs1100’s?

Your very welcome. Definitely a great watch for an everyday beater.

Is it set to Automatic Receive? Unfortunately the signal works best at night? I don’t know if Hawaii is within signal range…I suspect it is if you are getting 3 bars.
RJcur @ 9:16 am
Thanks for the excellent review, I’m sold on one of these for everyday wear.
