I have been wearing this watch on a daily basis for about a month now, and I can't just stop looking over and over at it, not necessarily reading the time but the watch itself. Apart from the fact that this is a sister-model of what they call 'M:i:III' limited edition G-shock, it simply looks great and tactical-ish enough by itself.
The size is not too big, unlike my initial concern before placing an order, nor too thick either if you're used to other G-shock models. Of course it's slightly heavier than plastic/PU G-shock models because of its high proportion of metal parts, but not to the extent that it'll drag your wrist down. I rather enjoy its subtle heaviness and sturdy feeling.
One of the problems I have is that my current/future location is/will remain beyond reach of any atomic wave transmission this particular North American version is tuned to, but that's a price I thought I would gladly take, so not a big deal. The other thing is it's quite tricky to adjust the bracelet length, but a bit of patience and a needle would sufficiently do the job.
Conclusion: this is a highly recommended model whether you're a G-shock fan or not!

- I've been a G-Shock fan for many years. The resin band always gave me a problem when I sweat so I would always take it off and attach it to my belt loop. Then I stopped wearing them altogether. Not anymore, this watch with it's metal band finally solved that problem for me. It's big, tough, and great looking too. The solar power and atomic timekeeping are good improvements as well. One look at the watch and you get all the info you need instantly. Definitely my favorite watch again! Thanks Casio!
Rating: 5 / 5 - My husband really likes his new watch - excellent variety of features and is heavy duty. He is pretty tough on things and I think this one will last. Now that he was a watch that corrects itself to the atomic time everyday, you would think that he would be on time!
Rating: 5 / 5 - Watch is not as good as I thought from reviews. Black rubbed off bracelet in several spots within 2 weeks. Also, watch inconsistently picks up time signal. Booklet that accompanies watch is way too small.
Rating: 3 / 5 - Relationships that begin badly usually continue that way. I just received my watch from Amazon and let me say that sizing the band is an excersize in frustration. I'm tempted to take my sawzall to cut a few links out. . . . . Fast forward 2 weeks. Yes, the band is difficult to size and I actually broke my cheapy micro-screwdriver set. But now that it's set and I've been using the thing for 2 weeks, I have to agree that it does everything as promised. It is not as big and heavy as some report. . . . at least to me. I love most of all the feature that illuminates the watch face when you position the watch to view the time when it is dark. Very handy not to have to push a button to accomplish this. Having the exact time is also reassuring. I just did some abusive renovations not thinking to take the watch off. Horrified at all the white scuffs, I was then amazed that they all wiped off as if this watch is encased in kriptonite. The digits are nice and large to be read easily and I like having all necessary information visible in one glance. I would like to change my rating to 4 and one half stars but the site does not seem to allow the star rating to be changed. The half star reservation is because of the lack of a countdown timer which for me is a useful tool. In summary, it is a great value, very durable, accurate, economical because it never needs battery replacement or down time. I know I will own it many years and it will be my main go to watch for every day use. Highly recommended.
