- You can buy replacement parts for this watch if you want to restore it to original condition. It will last even longer if you do.

I don’t think the battery is a fluke. I’ve had Casio’s that lasted over 10 years. Casio promised 10 years on the original GShock when they were first introduced. So it should last at least that long. The only thing that would shorten the life is alarm use and light use. That’s why they changed their estimate to 5 years. Then, they lowered it again when the Illumator style of light was developed.

Yes it will, you will need to replace the accumulator battery’s (2 of them) after 5 or 6 years. Iv just had to do mine.

I have and old casio calculator that I still use since 1992 with the same battery, and is not solar powered, someone screw up the calculators…..and people still think is a bad brand..
