I have this one, MIBII version, nice build with decent functions, but still regretted the purchase.
First-gen solar system means big power module with huge power consumption. Manual power save mode is not convenient. at all. Just look at the recent models, the system works seamlessly and consumes much less power, meaning longer runtime. Further, the telememo has no EEPROM, and EL illumination is not as effective compared with other models.

you should see the antman! that watch is just huge!

tough solar watch can get out of batteries?
DougFNJ @ 4:30 am
The impressive thing is, after being released 10 years, I’ve yet to hear a complaint of a battery dying.

You do realize that the entire world inherit multiple Raysmen, plus the obvious benefits..? ;D

Sorry about that, poor lighting in that one. Ive since gotten a better camera, hope the lighting has improved in the videos I’ve done since this one.

Nice review. I’ve had my Raysman for 10 years now (I bought it in Japan when it came out). Fantastic watch. It’s still running off the same batter and it’s been flawless in all manner of environments: skiing, diving, surfing, you name it. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
