There is a spring that sometimes fall out or get bent when the battery is replaced on most if not all G-shocks (I don’t have the G-2000 yet, it’s on its way!). This spring should contact the metal caseback for sound to work. Check out the watchuseek g-shock forum for additonal help. Good luck!

Hi – I own this watch and have had it for about 8 years. It has never broken despite having a taken a pounding over the years. The waterproofing is brilliant as i have dived properlly with this watch below 25m.
However a few weeks ago my battery ran out so i got it changed. However on getting it back my watch no longer beeped or admitted sound in any way. How do i change this??? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
